Chirstmas Pudding Truffles
Hello there!
Another Christmas recipe for the special day but this time it is a sweet truffle recipe. Truffles are easy to make and you can add whatever flavours you like, such as orange, vanilla or even peppermint. I added orange and chopped sultanas, then decorated them with white chocolate, holly leaves and berries so they look like and have the texture of little Christmas puddings. Enjoy!

Truffles are easy to make and you can add whatever flavours you like, such as orange, vanilla or even peppermint. The Recipe: Christmas Pudding Truffles
Makes 15 truffles
For the truffles:
- 150g 50-70% cocoa solid chocolate
- 150ml double cream
- 25g unsalted butter
- 4 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 orange, zested and juiced
- 75g sultanas, chopped
Decorations:
- 50g white chocolate
- Holly and berries (shop bought decorations or made from fondant icing)
Place the chocolate, orange juice and zest and chopped sultanas in a large bowl. Place the cream and butter in a saucepan and gently bring to a simmer until the butter melts. Pour over the chocolate and leave to melt for several minutes then stir until you have a smooth mixture. Place the mixture in a plastic box and leave to cool in the fridge for at least 4 hours, but overnight is preferable.
Shape the truffles when chilled about the size of a small golf ball and coat them in cocoa powder then place them in small paper cases.
Set aside while you melt the white chocolate and make the holly and berries from fondant icing if you're making them yourself. Place a little white chocolate on each truffle and two holly leaves with three berries. Leave to chill until ready to eat.
